My Rating:**** I liked the intro of Broli and the huge fights between him and the Z-fighters

The movie begins kinda weak. Goku and Chi-Chi go to an interview at Gohan's school and Chichi wants to impress them to get Gohan a better education.

The Z-fighters are all gathered around having a picnic of sorts when I huge spaceship lands next to them. A mass of soldiers rushes out and bows at Vegeta's feet praising him as king. Baffled Vegeta asks what is going on. A Saiyan by the name of Paragus appears and says he has searched far and wide for the prince of the Saiyans.

Summoned by King Kai, Goku teleports to King Kai's planet and is informed about the Legendary Super Saiyan. While on Earth Paragus informs Vegeta of the new planet New Vegeta and how he would like Vegeta to be king. Vegeta seems reluctant until Paragus states that Vegeta is the only hope against the Legendary Super Saiyan who is running wild in the southern galaxy. Future Trunks begs Vegeta not to go which ultimately makes him go even faster. Vegeta, Trunks, Gohan, Krillin, Roshi, and Oolong go with Paragus to New Vegeta

Goku teleports to a region in the southern galaxy where the Legendary SSJ had already been. He is worried that he might be stronger than they had imagined. The Z-fighters arrive on New Vegeta with Paragus where Vegeta is given a king's welcome. Brolly the son of Paragus is introduced to Vegeta. Brolly is also a Saiyan as Vegeta points out. The praise is short lived however because a soldier interrupts stating that the SSJ had struck again. Vegeta takes Brolly with him to investigate the SSJ siting although Trunks cautions his father.

Krillin, Gohan, and Trunks search New Vegeta for any signs of live or the SSJ. They discover that the planet is mostly ruins and it is completely run by slaves. There is a little scuffle between the guards and Gohan but Krillin shows some moves to scare them away, in the process hitting a teleporting Goku right in the face. Paragus calls down to Goku calling him Kakarot revealing himself to be a Saiyan. He also adds that Goku is the son of Bardock before inviting the to dinner.(A little suspicious)

At supper Goku starts to suspect someone, but not Paragus of being the SSJ. While asking the slaves questions, Trunks and Gohan found out that Paragus wasn't the one who destroyed their planets and Trunks assumes Brolly couldn't be it either because he lacked the strength. Paragus is then seen talking about a comet that will hit New Vegeta and tells his men not to worry for they will not be there when it hits. And Paragus also reveals that his intentions are to take over Earth.

Vegeta returns finding no sign of the SSJ. Goku asks Vegeta if he has found the SSJ and Vegeta states that once he does he will destroy him. Brolly than gets very agitated at he site of Goku. Paragus controls him however by a necklace Brolly wears avoiding a fight.

Paragus fixes the controller that contains Brolly and ponders why Brolly got angry. He believes Goku to be responsible for Brolly becoming aware of his Saiyan nature. Brolly's past is then revealed in flashback. Brolly is found out to the the SSJ and for a time Paragus couldn't control him. He had a scientist make the necklace that would control Brolly's power. With this power now at his command Paragus thought the universe was his. It is also revealed that Brolly and Goku were born the same day and Brolly was born with a 10,000 power level and Goku with a 2 power level but it is commented that Goku was very stubborn. There is a connection between Brolly and Goku because they were born on the same day and Goku cried and upset Brolly.

The scene ends with Brolly powering up and screaming "Kakarot!" The fighting starts as Brolly busts in the room where Goku and the others are sleeping. Brolly is only concerned with Goku and Goku is baffled at what Brolly's problem is. The fight between Brolly and Goku's continues until Brolly begins powering up. Paragus flies in and tries to stop Brolly with the device. However it has no effect at first. Goku discovers that it is Brolly that has been destroying the southern galaxy. Paragus' device finally calms Brolly down and they leave for the palace.

The scene moves to the oncoming comet that will strike New Vegeta. Vegeta gets fed up and decides to leave. Paragus pleads to give the SSJ one more day. Goku tells Vegeta that it is Brolly himself that is the SSJ, but Paragus states that Brolly is too weak. Trunks flies in and says Paragus is lying and that the planet is a wasteland. The looks of the slaves confirms that Brolli is the SSJ.

Vegeta yells at Paragus that he tricked him. Paragus then confesses that Trunks was telling the truth and that he was going to use the planet's destruction to he own benefit and that his real goal is Earth. His plan is to destroy Vegeta and the other fighters so no one could oppose them from taking over Earth and the other galaxies.

The mood shifts dramatically as Brolly gets into a trance and moves towards Goku repeating "Kakarot" as he gets closer. Vegeta then realizes Brolly is the SSJ and attacks him. Brolli is unaffected by the attacks. Brolly looks towards the sky and begins raising his ki. Paragus pleads with him to stop but Brolly is uncontrollable. Brolly busts the device and goes Super Saiyan. Vegeta is so struck that he cannot fight. Brolly attacks Gohan but Goku saves him. More of Brolly's past is revealed. Paragus explains that King Vegeta (the original, Vegeta's father) banished Brolly and Paragus but Brolly's unbelievable power saved them. And that is why he want's to destroy Vegeta. An all out brawl starts between the Saiyans. Goku, Gohan, and Trunks all go Super Saiyan except Vegeta who is scared. Both Gohan and Trunks are taken out and the fight continues between Brolly and Goku. Goku is taken down and Brolly unleashes attacks upon the planet. He spots Gohan and sends a blast at him, but it is deflected by Piccolo. Piccolo gives senzu beans to all the fighters to restore their health. The others (Roshi, Krillin, and Oolong) take the ship that Piccolo used to get to New Vegeta back to Earth.

The fight continues between the Saiyans with Piccolo, and Brolly. Piccolo gets blasted to where Vegeta is and brings him to the fight. Piccolo is so disgusted by the words of Vegeta that he throws him down and rejoins the fight. Vegeta cannot understand why they are fighting such a hopeless fight. Brolly takes a Kamehameha right in the face like is was the wind blowing at him and punches Goku out. Utilizing his pride once again Vegeta talks himself into joining the fight. He gets pummeled into a rock where he gets knocked out.

Paragus then plans his escape from New Vegeta and says it is a shame that Brolly must die. He gets into his pod where he is stopped by Brolly. Paragus says he was getting ready to escape with Brolly, but Brolly is quick to point out it is a one man pod. He then crushes his father in the space pod and throws it into the comet.

Brolly is shocked to see Goku alive and approaching him. Goku asks all the fighters to give him what strength they have left although Vegeta is reluctant to give him anything. Goku is nearly killed as Brolli jumps on Goku's stomach driving him into the ground. The power Goku takes keeps him alive but it is the power Vegeta gives him that allows Goku to finally destroy Brolly. Goku teleports the others into the ship with Krillin before the comet hits and all is well.
